The practice of endoscopy stormed the specialty of gastroenterology to transform it, and at the same time increase the quality of life of patients who performed an endoscopic procedure. In regards to the upper gastrointestinal endoscopy variety and different degree of complexity of endoscopic techniques that exist today make who qualify for better handling in diagnostic and therapeutic. (2)
The endoscopy is a technique of some invasive, uncomfortable for the patient, which requires measures of prior preparation and complications may occur, although carbon these are rare.
While all this is related to the ability to present every physician endoscopist, in my personal carbon practice as a physician endoscopist in Venezuela for 5 years and some months, I never had any complications when performing the endoscopic procedure, after about 3500 upper GI endoscopies performed.

The old saying that there are no diseases but sick, has absolute force in the Informed Consent association to the customized information, this being very difficult to explain carbon by the laws in the medical act and it is important to highlight. The use of informed consent is a legal document carbon that gives more validity to the medical act and therefore allows more quality care to patients in the field of upper gastrointestinal carbon endoscopy.
