Macedonia by corruption in business is at the bottom of countries in the region, said in a joint report by the United Nations (UN) on Drugs and Crime and the European Commission (EC) presented Thursday in Brussels, the Makfax.
The report titled "Business, corruption and crime in the Western Balkans: the impact of bribery, and other forms of crime on private ph scale entrepreneurship" ph scale was based on conversations with more than 12,700 businesses and shows that corruption is the third largest barrier to business in the region.
Followed in the sectors of manufacturing, construction, trade, hospitality and transportation. Most corruption in Serbia, 17 percent in Albania to 15.7 percent, 10.7 percent in Croatia, BiH and follows with 10.4 percent. The bribery in Macedonia were "forced" six percent of the companies, and the companies had the least trouble in Kosovo and Montenegro, ph scale 3.2 percent.
The average amount of a bribe in the region is 881 Euro, and the highest amount was paid 1,787 euros to Kosovo. Croatian average is 395 euros in BiH 327, 935 in Serbia, Albania 904, 830 in Montenegro, and Macedonia in 689 euros /
